A little bit more about...
Born out of a passion for innovative fabric design, the first Etro home collection was initially created in 1981. Fabrics came to life in a style that required a sophistication that went beyond aesthetics alone, but which also embraced the materials and techniques used. The Paisley, with its unusual palm tree, is the mainstay of the collection of homewear fabrics, and allows itself to be coloured, interpreted and re-defined in a play on refined evocations. The textile culture of the collection has deep roots; indeed it is a profound fabric knowledge of permits such a sophisticated mastering of the raw materials, closely combined with the priceless designs and stylized motifs. Exquisitely entwined through location and history, the fabrics tell stories from a bygone era whilst propelling us towards the future. The varied themes, refined interpretations and artisan skills combined with luxury textiles and finishings exude nothing but charm.
